VCA Canada Heritage Animal Hospital

Heritage Animal Hospital is a Midland animal hospital operating from one of the town’s genuinely historic buildings, a two-storey house believed to have been built in 1856 by Samuel Fraser, a descendant of one of Midland’s earliest settlers.

Successive owners have preserved the character of the house, which is noted for its line and symmetry and for the builder’s unusual use of log construction at that scale.

As part of the VCA Canada network, the vets here provide primary care, wellness and preventative pet care, surgery including spay and neuter, dentistry, diagnostics, rehabilitation services, nutrition counselling, and medical boarding. An in-house pharmacy means the veterinarians can dispense on site rather than sending owners elsewhere.
