Tiny Trail
Description
The Tiny Trail is a 23 km multi-use recreational trail running the length of Tiny Township, from the Tiny/Flos line near Elmvale in the south to the edge of Penetanguishene in the north.
It was one of Ontario’s first rail-to-trail conversions when the rail corridor was purchased in 1978, and it is now part of the Trans Canada Trail network.
The trail runs roughly parallel to County Road 6, crossing agricultural land and stretches of hardwood forest, with the Wye River and Copeland Creek passing beneath a series of historic bridges. The northern section is paved; the rest is surfaced with crushed stone.
It is a shared-use trail open to walking, cycling and other uses, with access points at township parks including Perkinsfield and Wyevale.
At its northern end it links into the Penetanguishene trail system, which connects onward through the Mid-Pen link to Midland’s waterfront trail, part of a continuous route across all three municipalities.
