Sweet Treats Factory

Sweet Treats Factory is a counter-service bakery on Main Street in Penetanguishene, run by Matt MacKenzie and Tara Leadbetter, who built the business from home baking and farmers’ market stalls before opening a storefront.

Everything is baked fresh each morning. Big brownies are the signature and the reason the whole thing started, alongside bagels, donuts, scones, cookies, tarts, pies, muffins, and fresh bread, with a different feature item most days. You’ll also find them at the Southern Georgian Bay Farmers’ Market on Sundays.

Among the bakeries in the Penetanguishene area, this one runs on word of mouth and a steady stream of regulars. Wheelchair-accessible parking and free street parking are right there.
