HOPE Centre / Friends Coffee Shop & Christian Bookstore

A Christian community hub on Midland Avenue that works as a coffee shop, a bookstore and a gathering space at once. Friends Coffee Shop is the front of it, and the room reads as a cafe rather than an office.

The café counter serves coffees, teas and baked goods made in house. Seating is set up for staying rather than turning tables, and it is the entry point most people use before anything else here.

The bookstore side stocks Bibles, Christian books and faith resources, some free and some sold to support the ministry, plus giftware. Christian counselling is offered, and the space hosts Bible studies, workshops, worship evenings and community events through the week. The building can also be rented by outside groups.

Among Midland’s independent cafes and coffee shops this is the one built around a ministry rather than a menu.
